City Planning in the United States is a field that requires technical expertise and problem-solving. It also requires knowledge about how to bring together many opinions and foster democratic debate among citizens. American city planning education places a strong emphasis on participatory methods of community development. This is even more true at Cornell University than elsewhere. If you are more interested in environmental management and analysis than in participation and local democracy, then I think you will be happier in a geography program or in another natural resources program (natural resource management, for example).

If you are still interested in city planning education, you will need to start out by getting a master's degree in city planning. You may wish to do this in Beijing, if you have an opportunity to do so, because it's easier to learn a new subject in a familiar context. You are also likely to be more successful in your applications to U.S. universities if you have more familiarity with planning than you say you do now.

Our application cycle for the 2006-07 academic year is already done. If you want to apply to Cornell for 2007-08, our application deadline will be early in January.

It is not rather a formal rejection, since I draft my first letter in a experimental way; and the result turns out to a greater disapointment than I ever expected. Now I feel like shit, again!

Yet I definitely hold on to my dream even though there's much more shits coming around.

    持续一个月不能正常登陆博客，常言道：“人生能有几回博？”于是茶余饭后总是唏嘘不已，转眼是五月。四月的某个早晨接驳隐形眼镜时，发现眼睛和眼镜无法无缝连接，进而意识到在北京春日如此狂风暴砂架构下的完美解决方案是启用旧版本视野浏览器；我戴着古老的黑框眼镜走过校园，遇见路人甲说：“哈哈，你越来越丑了！”，我一脸憨笑的回应：“韬光养晦。”遇见路人乙说：“哈哈，原来你那么丑!”，我皮笑肉不笑点点头：“我一向很低调。”遇见路人丙：“哈哈，好丑啊！”我笑都笑不出来，随意的“哦嗯呃”几声。遇见路人丁：“哈哈……”还没有哈完，我就立马给了他一招含笑半步颠。

    上头引用的文字最后一句应该改为“五一节快乐”了。毕竟已经是五月了。
